- Successful media pitching is a matter of perseverance. If you refuse to give up, and vow to try different angles and approaches, you will eventually find success.
- Give yourself sufficient time to pitch the media. I have found that the average event or report requires a minimum of 10 hours of pitching. Depending on the profile of the leader or executive whom you’re pitching, it may take more or less time. A leader with a larger platform or a compelling story may take less time to pitch for news segments than one who is lesser known.
