It is the end of the year and I am once again reflecting on all that has transpired over the past twelve months. It has been a remarkable year, and we could not have done it without you.

I’m grateful for every consultant, client, partner and ally who supported Spotlight PR LLC. Spotlight exists because of you. We appreciate you for inviting us along on your journey, and for being a part of ours.

Allow me to highlight a few wins from the past year. We wrote, cowrote, edited and placed for publication 56 opinion essays from clients and partners. In 2022, we wrote, cowrote, edited and placed 42 opinion pieces for publication.

Spotlight also sponsored our first reception at the National Association of Black Journalist annual conference, which was held in Birmingham. Several clients and partners attended the reception, including Alabama Values Progress, Alabama Forward, the Ohio Organizing Collaborative, the Black Southern Women’s Collaborative, and Race Forward. Additionally, 35 reporters attended the event.

We also launched a blog on Spotlight PR LLC, an email marketing program, and began creating PR videos via this YouTube channel. These tools are designed to provide deeper insight around strategic communications, and resources to support your work.

I know the work is far from over, but I am excited about what the future holds. Speaking of the future, in the second quarter of 2024, we will launch a membership site. This will allow Spotlight PR LLC clients, former clients or members to access helpful information and the products we’ve produced on their behalf.
